People got duped...
All these ridiculous horrible reviews, so I go in to listen to the show with very low expectations. A few songs then I'm thinking to myself, "what is it right here"... then, as black-throated wind is playing and they get to the part where I know it's an E chord, I walk over to a tune to guitar and I play an E chord and this recording is a half step sharp at least! Thats a lot ya'll
It's no wonder the vocals have that chipmunk quality in the music sounds rushed. This isn't what it sounded like! These soundboards need to be taken down and fixed, I don't mean to despair to people who go to the trouble to get these recordings out, but a recording of a concert absolutely must play at the proper speed or else you're listening to something that isn't an accurate representation of what the music actually sounded like and it's not something your ears would adjust for. I'm moving on to a different Source hopefully the other soundboard is in tune and plays at the right speed.

Stagger LEE!
Wow, the rest of the show might be 1995 doo-doo, but geez, this STAGGER LEE is just amazing. Jerry is just emoting his heart out, and enunciating and they really bring out the ending of the song. check it out, you won't regret it!

Worst of three Charlotte shows
I attended all three shows, as well as the previous two at the Spectrum. This show was by far inferior to the other two at Charlotte. The energy is low, Jerry chops the lyrics on numerous songs. Particularly Bird Song, which is just awful. Sloppy start, Jerry incoherent at times. Awful. Hard to listen to. The first two shows, by contrast, had much higher energ, and many more highlights. In retrospect, it is clear during at least this show Jerry was in really bad shape. His voice is raspy and weak. Sound quality of this recording is good, and that's really the only reason I'm giving it three stars.

First and only
This was my first and only Grateful Dead show. I was 16 at the time, and travelled to Charlotte with a high school friend of mine. Man, parents let their kids do anything back then it seems like. I remember running into several kids from my high school there. Such a great memory. I agree not the best sounding show, but I wouldn't say the worst. I give at least four stars.

Why all the negativity?
Listening to this for the first time. Other than If the Shoe Fits, a good 1st set song selection, and mostly well played. I'm only up to Here Comes Sunshine, but really think the folks calling this the worst concert ever, or musing on how awful Jerry sounds, should take a listen to the Giants Stadium shows, or pretty much any of the other outdoor shows. Is this the searing Jerry of the 80's that could mail it on the nights he was smacked and still sound great? No. But the pace is quick, his leads are clean if "dumbed down" a bit [slower and less "intense"], and his vocals are standard 90's itchy and scratchy. I'm going to suffer through Samba just to see how Jerry sounds [wish I could mute Vince!!], but unless he pulls a disappearing act post Here Comes Sunshine, this may be one of the better '95 shows I've listened to. And definitely better than the ones I attended [Highgate, both Giants, both RFK].
No rating b/c I wasn't there. But based strictly on the S/B upload, this isn't a 1 or 2 star show so far.... more a 3 & 1/2 for the Stagger Lee, High Time, Black Throated Wind, and one of the more cohesive post 1990 Bird Songs..... Peace, Love, and Understanding to all!!

My first show!
I was around 17 at the time. Had a crazy day earlier. Got seperated from my family. Got up with all my oldschool tour kats on the lot. Got up with my family, went in, had a blast! For the most part, Jerry was keeping good time. Few slip-ups, nothing really bad. Whole show sounded awsome inside, the croud really sang more than most copies give you. Packed house, even security and cops were high on something! Great first show! The three I had the chance to see, were great because, I heard most of my favorites. Thanks for a really good time! This copy is very clean, concidering that most from that time period were audience and alot on tapes were pretty rough. You just don't see many soundboards from spring '95. Great job, and lets see some more!
